Life After Leukemia: How Abby Bauleke Overcame Adversity to Win a Paralympic Silver Medal

Abby Bauleke represents what it means to not let adversity define you. After suffering paralysis from the waist down due to Leukemia and thinking she couldn’t play sports again, Bauleke dove into adaptive athletics and excelled. We sat down with Bauleke to discuss her experience playing wheelchair basketball, how she uses her disability as a strength to connect with her teammates and chase goals, and how she balances her life as a student athlete.
