Former Seattle Reign player and VIS Mentor Bethany Balcer played her first game for her new team, Racing Louisville FC, on Saturday. Balcer helped her team to a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Red Stars, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Off the field, Balcer continues to change the game: She has created her own brand BB8 “Bring Your Best” to advocate for mental health in athletics, all while pursuing a degree in counseling.
