How Art Improves Our Game

Because Howard knows the value of balance. She knows how a little bit of creativity off the court can lead to big gains on it.
Having a creative outlet outside of sport builds confidence and diversity in our identity. VIS Expert Ashley Zapata says that creative hobbies improve emotional regulation, build resilience, strengthen identity, and relieve stress.
Let’s break down what that means.
Regulating Emotions
Having a non-competitive outlet lets our minds decompress. By focusing on something else, we can release tension and think through our game, pressure-free.
