Five Ways to Improve Winter Training
By Hannah Ballowe

Battling the weather can be tough—but we’re tougher.

Training outside in the winter is an added challenge to our training. But at the end of the day, that’s all it is: a challenge. And as women athletes, we’re used to overcoming challenges.

With the right game plan, training outside in the cold can make you stronger, mentally and physically. Follow these five tips to stay warm, train smart, and get after it, even when it’s cold outside.

  1. Use the right gear. Layers are the name of the game for training in the cold. And it’s not just about staying warm, it’s also about staying dry.
