What Abbi Pulling's F1 Academy Championship Means for Women in Motorsport

Britain’s Abbi Pulling won the F1 Academy championship in Qatar this past weekend. This continues a breakthrough season for Pulling, who also competed in British Formula 4 this year. She made history by becoming the series’ first woman race winner at Brands Hatch racing track in West Kingsdown, England. Despite Pulling’s success and increased opportunities for women in motorsport, F1 Academy drivers still struggle to make ends meet.

Twenty-one-year-old British driver Abby Pulling secured the championship in the all-women F1 Academy championship in Qatar this past weekend. Her prize? A spot in an all-paid British GB3 junior series.
