The Mental Transition Out of Our Season

It can be hard to move on from the high stress lifestyle that comes with being in our competition season. Working on the mental transition from a competition mindset to the grind that comes with off season training requires a nuanced approach. So, we sat down with VIS Expert and sport psychologist, Jess Silverman, PsyD, to talk about strategies we can use to swiftly transition out of our season.

Transitioning from a high stress, chaotic period of competition into a more relaxed off-season can result in emotional whiplash. The quick change between a fast-paced to a slower environment doesn’t seem like it would be a challenge, but there is a deeper level to this transition.
